I grew up in a small coastal town of Sweden, where the summers were spent at the sandy beaches from morning till the sun went down. We were fortunate to indulge in these amazing treats,
that we are now offering to you.
Our Vision
To keep the integrity of traditional Swedish bakery products and to our tradition of execution and of the term we use
"fika" [Fee-ka].
To provide the customer the best of the Swedish bakery products, in which has recipes dated back hundreds of years. We are on a mission to revolutionize the way people live, eat and play. Our vision is to create a world of healthy indulgence where there is something for everyone.
Swedish History, and the French King.
In 1809 a palace revolution had overthrown King Gustav IV of Sweden and had put the aged, childless, and sickly Charles XIII on the throne. The Danish prince Christian August had been elected crown prince but died suddenly in 1810, and the Swedes turned to Napoleon for advice.
In 1810, when Jean Baptiste was 47 years old and Marshal of France, he was elected Crown Prince of Sweden and adopted the royal name Karl XIV Johan.
The House of Bernadotte is the royal family of Sweden, founded there in 1818 by King Charles XIV John of Sweden. It was also the royal family of Norway between 1818 and 1905. Its founder was born in Pau in southern France as Jean Bernadotte.
So there you have the story how Sweden inherited involuntarily the French culture. Our bakery culture has close ties to the French, at the same time we are known for our healthy crisp breads and rye breads.
As it is widely know, the Cinnamon roll was a creation made by Swedish bakers . Every year Swedes celebrate the cinnamon roll on October 4th each year. It started in 1920, but after butter became more available 1950, the bakers to the roll to another level.
